Brief History - In 1836 George N. Bond purchased 6 acres to be used as a public cemetery. The cemetery in modern day is over 60 acres. The entrance gates are the third entry gates used over the decades are are situated on the corner of Cherry and Main Street in Niles. Gates wer esigned by Judson Clay Webber, and constructed in 1926. A plaque at the main entrance recognizes the first Cemetery Board in 1930: Judson Webber, Harry Fox, Charles E. Moon, Harry Mansfield and Fred A. Reynolds.
