Located on section 18, on both sides of Park Road, one- quarter mile north of Shanghai Road, Eau Claire
The old Shanghai Cemetery is on the West Side of the road and the newer
Shanghai Memorial Cemetery is on the East side of the same road. This is an active Cemetery.

 Local lore states that the area was named because Dr. Enos had brought some "Shanghai eggs" and in the chickens raised from those eggs, the village should be called Shanghai. (Per the history of Berrien and Van Buren Counties, Michigan) Dr. Enos died in 1868.
