Located at the end of Madeline street in Niles. (Inactive)
Bertrand Catholic Cemetery - Oldest known stone in the cemetery is Madeline
Bertrand – died 1845 wf of
Joseph Bertrand
Use was basically discontinued in about 1891 when a
newer cemetery in Niles was offered for burials.
Many of the burials were
marked with wooden markers and when the DAR took a tally in the 1920's they
were informed that a fire had burned many of the wooden markers, leaving the
graves unmarked.
